Smshosting: the redesign of Italy's most complete mobile communication platform
Smshosting is a true Italian tech marvel. With 80,000 registered users and over 400 million SMS sent per year, the platform must constantly update itself both graphically and technologically. We have worked alongside the group from the very beginning, translating all its new strategies visually.
A modular editorial project
for always-new pages.
An intricate story unfolds across 3 menu sections to address the needs of every visitor to the site. To shape 40 web pages without making navigation tedious, 28 different modules were designed, each combinable with the others. Naturally, everything is fully responsive to allow access to the deepest levels of information even from a smartphone.
A tech heart and a soft face
We tried to soften and bring liveliness to a story about very technical subjects.
That's why the typeface chosen for the headlines (ITC Clearface) comes from 1980s publishing
(a 1978 redesign, based on original 1907 drawings)
and the color palette is made up of highly saturated colors with bold pairings.

Many passages in the story pages explain in detail how the marketing tools available on the platform work. To illustrate the text in a clear, instructional way, it was decided to redraw all the described situations with simple, uniform graphic lines.
