The catalogue for the Marmomacc Meets Design exhibition
Through architectural installations, the exhibition showcases the most advanced results of research in design and stone and marble craftsmanship.
Stone as graphic pattern and material texture
Many of the projects on display let the raw material speak by treating it graphically, through the tools of geometry. Hence the idea of a pattern of patterns for the cover, and the use of an embossed finish for the title, to give the tactile quality required when talking about stone.
Company and designer together amplify the strength of the project
Giving prominence to the designer–company name pairings makes it possible to leverage each one's reputation within its own field. The goal is to bring users from one audience to the other, in a virtuous cycle for communication purposes.
A grid that produces lively layouts
The treatment of the text conveys the experimental nature of these installations. The images are large, drawing the reader into the exhibition spaces. The publication is brought to life through a large number of small variations in the use of the layout grid.
