Festival Biblico - 2018 visual identity
A cultural festival spread across a wide region needs a recognizable visual identity to give the event unity and communicative strength.
The collaboration with Venetian
illustrator Lucio Schiavon
The visual translation of the 'cone-shaped time' concept
proposed by the festival's organizers as a metaphor
for Future (the theme of the 2018 edition) came to life
thanks to the coordination by Studio Visuale
of the working group made up of the direction, the presidency,
the press office and the illustrator.
The 'cone-shaped time' concept
«The amplification of attention on an object that then shifts to something else.
There is no sense of past, no sense of future. There is only something brought into the light by the media. Then the light shifts; we live in the flexible and virtual expansion of the present.
The idea of a future defined before it happens, of an unstoppable march of events, is narrow.»
Man: author of his own Future
This was the common thread followed throughout the development of the illustration.
From the first sketch ideas to the final version, the shared certainty
among everyone was the presence of man at the centre of his relationship with the Future.
From the single individual, we eventually arrived at a community of interconnected people.
