The exhibition ‘Lux in Arcana’ faces a unique challenge: to reveal the priceless heritage of the Vatican Secret within the scenario of the Capitoline Museums.
The project designs a unique and linear stylistic feature along the path of the exhibition, where 100 documents, forming a choral show, create a new dialogue with the pre-existing collection. Discovering the documents of the Vatican Secret Archives brings to light its contents and meanings. The visitors enter the text and hear it speaks. The letters are not mute. The ink is not static. The paper is not immobile. Architecture, video, multimedia, design, UI: as if in a Renaissance workshop, Studio Visuale and Studio Tapiro joined forces in order to better tell the greatest story of all and show one of the biggest cultural heritages of humanity.
